Frequently Asked Questions

Do I really need to see a chiropractor 3 times a week?

Not always. Visit frequency depends on how long you've had the problem, how severe it is, and how your body responds to early treatment. Many patients start with a more frequent short-term phase to calm down pain and inflammation, then taper to less frequent maintenance visits. We'll explain the reasoning behind your specific plan rather than putting everyone on the same schedule. (See our full article: Do I Really Need 3 Visits a Week to a Chiropractor?)

Can a chiropractor help after a car accident in Utah?

Yes. Car accidents commonly cause whiplash and soft tissue injuries that don't always show up on X-rays and can take days to become noticeable. Chiropractic evaluation and treatment soon after a crash can address these injuries early and create documentation that may be useful for insurance or legal claims related to the accident.

What is Indiba radiofrequency therapy and how does it help chronic pain?

Indiba is a radiofrequency therapy that uses controlled heat at a cellular level to increase blood flow and support the body's natural repair process in soft tissue. It's often used for chronic or longstanding pain that hasn't fully responded to other treatments, including old injuries to joints like the knee or shoulder.

What is neuropathy and can chiropractic care help with it?

Neuropathy is nerve damage that often causes tingling, numbness, burning, or pain, most commonly in the hands and feet. Depending on the cause, chiropractic and complementary therapies can help support nerve health and reduce symptoms alongside a broader care plan, which may include testing to identify underlying contributing factors.

What are the DUTCH, ALCAT, and methylation tests used for?

These are functional lab tests that go beyond a standard physical exam. The DUTCH test evaluates hormone levels and patterns, the ALCAT test screens for food sensitivities that may be contributing to inflammation or chronic symptoms, and methylation testing looks at how the body processes certain nutrients. Together they help build a more complete picture of what may be driving a patient's pain or health issues.

Why do you do blood work?

We use LabCorp to process all our blood draws for patients who want more advanced healthcare advice.  We generate approximately a 20-30 page report on what's wrong and the most natural ways to make changes.

Why do you recommend whole food supplements and herbs?

Many people who come in ill have had years of poor nutrition and are in need of quicker improvement.   Dietary changes alone can often take months to years and can still be deficient.  Most of the other supplements on the market are synthetic, fractionated, or highly processed.  Whole foods are much easier to digest and used naturally by the body.  This is one of the reasons we use blood work to track patient progress.  We have also found over the years that patients that have better nutrition often do better in recovery.
